Tree Surgery Project: Hazardous Overhanging Tree Removal

Removal of Hazardous and Non - Viable Trees along the boundary line

At Elm Landscaping and Tree Surgery Services, we are dedicated to providing expert Tree Surgery services that prioritises safety.

Recently, we had the opportunity to carry out a comprehensive tree management project at Crescent College Comprehensive in Dooradoyle, Limerick, on behalf of the Department of Education.

Our task involved the safe removal of hazardous and non-viable trees along the boundary of the college. The majority of these trees were large Poplar and Lawson Cypress, which had become a concern as their overhanging branches extended into neighbouring properties. These trees posed potential safety risks, so it was crucial to address them promptly and carefully.

Throughout the project, we were committed to preserving the natural beauty of the landscape. Where feasible, we retained a line of healthy, native trees, ensuring that the boundary maintained its natural aesthetic while also minimising environmental disruption.

Once the hazardous trees were safely removed, we took additional steps to complete the job with care and efficiency. All tree stumps were ground down to ground level, and the resulting wood chips were spread across the area. This not only helps to maintain the appearance of the space but also provides beneficial mulch that enhances the health of the surrounding soil.

Safety is always our number one priority. Every stage of the project was carried out with careful planning and precision to protect both our team and the community.
